Installation Guide for Shopify

This guide explains how to implement the accessibility widget using Google Tag Manager. Total installation time: approximately 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your Google Tag Manager account
  • Your GTM container ID implemented on your website
  • A valid widget script from dashboard

Installation Steps

Custom HTML Tag Setup

  1. Access GTM Dashboard
  2. Create New Tag
    • Click “Tags” in the left sidebar, then click “New“
  3. Configure Tag Type
    • Click “Tag Configuration” and select “Custom HTML” from the tag type menu
  4. Add Widget Script
    • Paste the script from the dashboard in the Custom HTML field
  5. Configure Trigger
    • Click “Triggering” and select “Initialization – All Pages” or create a custom trigger
  6. Save Tag
    • Click “Save” to create your tag
  7. Submit Changes
    • Click “Submit” and provide a version description

Verification

Preview Mode Testing

  • Click “Preview” to test your implementation
  • Verify the tag fires on page load
  • Check widget appears correctly
